So, we’re here to offer the psychological exercises, the social nutrition and the right environment for you to get your brain in great shape!

Think about physical fitness for a moment…

If we want to build muscle, we load up our muscles – not once, but repeatedly, gradually increasing the load as we get stronger.

Do you do any regular training to make your mind stronger? Or do you just expect it to magically cope when things get heavy?

If we want our bodies to become more flexible, we stretch and gradually expand our range of motion.

What do you do to flex your mind? Or do you stay in the same rigid patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving, then struggle when life throws a change your way?

If we want to be able to run a marathon, we train and build up our running endurance over time.

Have you exercised your mind for endurance? Or do you assume it should be able to run mental marathons without any training, coaching or support? 

We also know that when it comes to physical fitness, the right food and the right conditions are essential.

It’s a terrible idea to live on potato chips if you want to be a bodybuilder, and it’s not safe to run a marathon on a scorching hot day.

The yin and yang of mental fitness

Our minds and emotions are constantly changing, like clouds floating through the sky. Sometimes the clouds are grey and angry, and at other times the sky is crystal clear.

This diagram shows the things that bring us down (in grey), and the ways that we can build our mental fitness (in green).

But let’s be real…we can’t erase negative emotions or thoughts completely, but what we can do is balance them with their mental fitness counterparts. When we do this, our perspective is broadened, our mood is lightened, and our lives work better.

So, if you want to get mentally fit, consider this:

  • What are you consuming when it comes to social media, news and information?

  • What does your social diet look like? Do you spend most of your time around nourishing people or toxic people?

  • What kind of environment do you need to train your mind safely and effectively?

While a lot of health and wellbeing providers are focused on giving you useful content and information, we know this is only a small part of the picture.

That’s like giving you a printed fitness program and wishing you the best!
